Anyhow, our next meeting will be the 18th of February at the King County Library Administration Bldg.


The fly : The Colonel

Recipe:

HOOK:  4/0  would be nice
TAG:  Gold twist and two turns of bright yellow floss
TAIL:  Red and yellow sprigs mixed with gallina and a topping
BODY:  Yellow floss halfway up, and then orange pig's wool
RIBS:  Gold twist, flat tinsel, and black floss (purse silk - silk that is round not flat). First the twist , then the tinsel, followed by the black silk
HACKLE:  Yellow from the tail to the head
SHOULDER:  Bustard
WINGS: Golden pheasant tippet, bustard, argus pheasant dark speckled pheasant, fibres of yellow thrown here and there, topping over
HORNS:  Blue macaw
HEAD:  Black - in this antique black wool

Start thinking about carpooling to the Oregon Tying Meeting in Albany on March 9th and 10th.... Chili feed at Todd's after the meeting on Saturday. ...A good portion of the members will be attending the tyers "dinner" at the venue  Friday evening.
