Nothing can compare to watching a Salmon or Steelhead rise to a well presented dry fly.  Takes go from classic Head&Tail rises to explosions at the speed of light.  FLies can be dead drifted or swung depending on the day.

Buck Bug *

'Bugs', as they are called, are hands down the number one dry pattern in the NorthEast.  Never go to Newfoundland or Labrador without a good supply.

Green Machine *

A variation on the 'Bug' this one is just as useful for dry fly fishing.  Skate 'em, dead drift or swing.
Henrik even uses one with success on Sea Run Browns in Tierra del Fuego.

Shady Lady Dry *

The 'Lady' is a true American pattern used with great success for years all over the US and Canada.  More recently the pattern was spun with Deer hair and used a a dry fly.  The success has been the same.
