Pot Bellied Pig, Brown

This modern Tube fly, having gained its name form the original material used to create the feelers at the tail of the fly. Dunkeld

A Tube fly pattern named and dressed in honour of that most Scottish of patterns, The Dunkeld. Originally a feather winged Salmon fly, it is now dressed in many different styles, all successful at their respective roles. The essence of the pattern is a Gold body under a multi-coloured wing, composed mainly of Orange. It can be fished with confidence throughout the season.

Stoats Tail

Silver Badger

A very old pattern of Irish origin which has seen somewhat of a revival in recent years. Similar in many ways to the Stoats Tail series, the Badger wing assists the pattern in fishing higher in the water column, a useful trait during low flows in Summertime when Grilse and Sea Trout are in the river. Its rich Blue front hackle is complimented by the clean body of Silver Mylar giving the pattern an overall bright appearance which can be useful in peat stained water and for fishing later in the evening.

Gold Garry

A variant of the original Black bodied Garry Dog, this Gold bodied variant has become immensely popular in recent years. It is especially good after a spate when the water still carries a modicum of colour. This is quite a bright and noticeable pattern which has accounted for very many fish in the recent past, in particular throughout Scotland.

Hitch, Silver Elver

This is a pattern by Paddy Bonner, suitable for both Salmon and Sea Trout. It has all of the required design and colour requirements to make it so. Small J.C. eyes seta against a dark, slim wing and a combination of Blue based colours, essential it seems to be competitively fishing for any of the fresh migratory species.

Hitch, Black&Yellow

As a classical colour combination, Black and Yellow have a long history. This riffle-hitch pattern is another variant on that theme. A slim dressing profile, and primary colours in association with the suggestive and lively movement of this pattern will ensure that even the most settled of resident fish will want to have a closer look at this design.

Hitch, Cascade

This is probably the most fished and successful of all of the Ally's Shrimp patterns over the past no. of years. It fishes consistently well in clear or coloured water, this fly has been the downfall of many fish. Its popularity probably originates in its ability to produce numbers of fish where other patterns have failed and its seemingly "magnetic" attraction to even long time resident fish in a pool. The hitch version fishes extremely well in low-flow situations throughout the Summer and Autumn months.

Hitch, Collie Dog

This is a micro-sized version of the original Collie Dog, normally dressed on larger tubes and with much longer wings. This version is ideal for low water conditions, particularly when Grilse and Sea Trout are about in the Summer months.
