LPXe Series, Two Handed

We can guarantee that there is no rod like this one! The award winning LPXe series flyrods have been voted the no. #1 rod in a test including more than 60 flyrods, including several of the worlds leading brands. The test was published in Scandinavia’s largest sportfishing magazine,”Fiske För Alla”.

The LPXe rods are the brainchild of Guideline head designer; Leif Stävmo. Accuracy, feeling, performance, diversity, and exceptional value for money were the goals that were set up for this project. To put it simple; we wanted to create the best damned value for the money, flyrods in the world! And as they say; “The rest is history”.

Upon releasing the series last spring, we knew that this was more than just another good flyrod. The response from both stores and flyfishermen around Scandinavia came more or less immediately. These pieces of graphite have been a true success since they day they were born. Demands from the market during last season were larger than the supply and we had a tuff time trying to get new rods produced. It was all about ”my friend has one”, ”I tried my brothers”, ”my casting approved at once”.

We have improved some models and added a couple of new rods, to make the line-up even stronger. The LPXe Series is a very important part in our philosophy, to create high-end flyfishing products that have the ability to make our customers, as well as ourselves better and more skilful flyfishermen.

The LPXe blanks are produced in high modulus graphite, containing several special graphite blends for each model. These rods are lightweight and strong. With the natural and rough graphite blank they are nothing but hardcore. The heavier rods have tough aluminium reelseats in titanium finish. Nothing but the best quality cork has been chosen for the handles. Stripper guides have Hardloy inserts and all other guides are single leg hardchrome type. All rods are delivered in a Cordura tube with cloth bag for the rod.

LPXe 12678-3 12’6” #7/8
This is a wonderful lightweight, doublehanded, summer and autumn rod for salmon and seatrout. It’s designed to give the advantage of an accurate stealth presentation many times needed when fishing in low and clear waters. An outstanding rod for any serious fisherman. 4-piece.

LPXe 12689-3 12’6” #8/9
A more powerful version than it’s little brother; the 12’6” 8/9 will bring magic to your casts. With a fast, sensitive action, this rod is designed to handle wind and slightly larger flies in small to medium sized rivers. Definitely one of the finest rods around, when it comes to balance and loop control. One of our all time top sellers. 4-piece.

LPXe 1389-3 13’ #8/9
This is the rod responsible for much of the LPXe hype. We sold out 3 times for this rod last season! This just has to be the best 13´ rod around! You have to try it to believe it. A modern, powerful action that suites the most experienced flyfisher, as well as the beginner. It handles any imaginable fishing situation with ease. Just load the rod with a short stroke and a quick stop and it will bring you long, smooth casts without any disturbance of the flyline. 4-piece.

LPXe 14910-3 14’ #9/10
The diversity of a 14’ rod goes well beyond what many flyfishermen think. It is lighter and easier to handle than 15´ or longer rods, yet almost as accurate and delicate as the shorter 12´6 and 13 footers. It’s truly a great allround rod, suitable for most fishing conditions throughout the year. This rod does it better than most others. 4-piece.

LPXe 151011-3 15’ #10/11
This rod has set a new standard in Salmon flyrod design. It has become the favourite rod among serious salmon fishermen in all of Scandinavia, as well as Germany and this year also in the UK. There are many attempts being made to come up with a rod matching the performance and balance of this one, but so far it stands above the rest.
This is doubtless your best buy in modern action 15’ rods today.

European Two Handed Rod Designations are based on AFTMA standards and are consistent from manufacturer to manufacturer.  Rods from the US do not use AFTMA standards and are typically one AFTMA rating heavier than they are rated on the rod.  That is to say a Sage 8/9 Spey would cast the same line as a Guidelines 9/10 - jc
