LPXe Series, Two Handed

LPXe - WORLDCLASS!
Anticipation was mixed with anxiety as we introduced our new
4-piece models of the LPXe during last season. Were they going
to be accepted as well as the 3-piece best-sellers had been
for years? Now we know… these new rods have won best in test
in the world’s largest fly fishing magazine for both the
9’ 5-wt and the 15’ 10/11-wt models - the best
acknowledgements one can receive. The LPXe series
continues to bring extraordinary value for money.
New for 2009 is a 10’ 6-wt, suitable for reservoir
rainbows, sea trout and grilse.

The Price Winner!
LPXe blanks are produced in high modulus graphite,
containing several special graphite blends for each model.
These rods are lightweight and strong. Featuring a natural
and rough graphite blank that is nothing but hardcore. Rods
in lineweight 3 to 5 are equipped with snake guides and
lightweight reelseats with beautiful wooden insert, while
the heavier rods feature single leg hard chrome guides and
our tough Guideline aluminum reelseats in a gun-smoke finish.
A5 cork has been used for the handles and the stripper guides
have Hardloy. All rods come in a Cordura tube with
cloth bag for the rod.

LPXe 12689 | 12’6” | #8/9 | 4-piece

LPXe 1389 | 13’ | #8/9 | 4-piece
A little longer, a little more power and a bit more
all-round than the 12’6 version, we expect that this
rod will be just as popular as our bestselling 13’
3-piece version.
Recommended line weight: 28-32 g.

LPXe 14910 | 14’ | #9/10 | 4-piece

LPXe Series, Switch

The term "switch" is here to stay. There are loads of
different explanations, but the bottom line is that
they are all rods with a configuration and length
that make them versatile enough to fish either
single-handed or double-handed. We have offered
11' in both LeCie and LPXe for years now with the
extended butt and longer front handle, to make
them suitable to cast with two hands. These new
rods are based on the same actions as our
LPXe 11' footers. Fast, lightweight and with a
brand new extendable rear handle that will give
you the best of both worlds. The short butt
suits single-handed use, and when extended it
will give you the added length needed for
double-handed casting. The front handle is
also designed and extended to fit both styles.

LPXe Switch 1167 | 11’ | #6/7
A light, fast and well-balanced rod with the guts
to take on large fish. This one suits small, clear
waters where stealth and presentation is the name
of the game rather than distance and power.
Recommended head weight: 15-17 g.

LPXe Switch 1178 | 11’ | #7/8
The line control and the casting ability of this
rod have to be experienced. Its amazing lightness,
crispness and balance makes fishing seriously fun.
A 7/8wt POWER TAPER shooting head cut at 10 metres
is the perfect match.
Recommended head weight: 17-19 g.

LPXe Switch 1189 | 11’ | #8/9
Takes over when the above rod reaches its limit.
Here is a powerful blank rigged up to suit both
single and doublehanded fishing. A popular summer
salmon rod in the rivers of Scandinavia but useful
anywhere you find trophy fish in
medium-sized rivers. Fast-sinking lines? No problem..
Recommended head weight: 18-21 g.

LPXe RS Series

LPXe RS - For High Winds, Big Flies and Hard Fights!

LPXe RS rods are all about long reach, strong fish,
tough conditions and great fun in a variety of environments.
A total of 8 different 9’ models from # 5 to # 12 will set
you up well against loads of different challenges that wait
for you out there. RS rods are equipped with strong,
saltwater capable, long lasting components in a four piece
configuration that's ready and willing to travel.

Blue waters – Blue skies – Blue rods!
LPXe RS are the casting-machines of modern fly fishing.
They're primarily designed to excel in windy open waters,
with high line-speeds, larger flies and even bigger fish.
These rods are built to last and are equally at home along
European coastlines and Caribbean flats as they are in
lakes and rivers stuffed with trophy pike, musky, bass or
wary carp. They have a fast action that produces power
without been overly stiff, capable of being cast long all
day without fatiguing your arm.  Despite their power and
quickness, they are also capable of making short, precise,
gentle casts when the need arises.

We have fitted these rods with components that take a real
beating and can withstand the brute forces of salty waters
with a cool looking Blue Mirror coating over a strong and
flexible blank. Each blank has its own unique mixture of
different graphite blends. This creative use of graphite,
in combination with individually designed action curves,
will load the rod with ease and speed to challenge fast
swimming targets at great distances. The reel seats are
made of saltwater resistant aluminum with a hard chrome
finish and have double locking screws. All stripping
guides have a hard, ceramic Hardloy insert.
