Based on the success of our Explorer Flyfishing Kits that have gained recognition Europe wide, we have been encouraged to venture into a budget Flyrod project worthy of the name GUIDELINE. The brand new EXP3 series is aimed at beginners or intermediate flyfishers looking for a fast action, lightweight and tough no nonsense flyrod that will provide lots of fun, both when casting and playing fish. There are five different models of rods in the EXP3 Series, covering the most common fishing from lineweight 4-8.
Actions in EXP3 rods can be described as medium fast to fast with a light, responsive tip that makes casting effortless and easy. These rods load easily, also when the timing of the casting stroke isn’t perfect. All rods are 4-piece.
The blank
These rods are manufactured from different blends of carbon cloth in different parts of the blank. This method aids in manufacturing rods with a nice, lightweight, small diameter and a great fit. EXP3 rods are finished in a metallic Rust color with matching wrappings and trim. Each rod section is individually marked with the rod length and weight, to avoid mix-up of parts. This also helps when aligning your parts during assembly of the rod.
The handle
Cork handles of good quality, finished with rubber cork endings for extra reinforcement and durability. Fighting butts are kept small, yet smooth and comfortable when needed for playing large fish.
The reelseats
Rods up to lineweight #5 are fitted with beautiful, light weight wooden reelseats with aluminium parts. The dark red wood has a soft satin finish and matches the blank nicely.
All other rods have our extremely light and solid custom made GUIDELINE aluminium reelseats with good looks and hard anodized, saltwater resistant finish.
All rods are equipped with single leg hard chrome guides. Stripper guides are finished in hard chrome with gold insert.
The rod tube and bag
All rods come with Moss green nylon covered tubes and nice, soft rod bags in green color.
