Pole Pocket

This is the coolest thing I have found in a long time. Two cordura sleeves connected with a stretch cord. Slip the tip sections of your rod into the long end and pull the short one over the butt. Now your rod is ready to carry, travel, and fish in safety and comfort!

Line Welding Kit

This kit includes q heat gun, concentrator nozzle, and 4' of 1/16, 3/32, 1/8 and .040 for making loops

With this you are ready to start welding.

Gun has two settings. Use the low setting about 2" away from the line for perfect results every time.

Heat shrink tubing specifically adapted to welding fly lines. This is the perfect stuff. Easy to peel off when finished.

How to Design Fly Lines by Al Buhr

Al Buhr started building fly lines in the late 1970's as a way to improve his Steelhead fishing. In 1980 he met Jim Green and joined the Fenwick team. Al mentored under Jim Green in both rod and line design. In 1989 Al joined Sage rods and shortly after teamed with Scientific Anglers. In 1994 with Bruce RIchards of SA he designed the Mastery Spey/Salmon Taper and later the Short Head and Mid Head Spey lines.
